Hi everyone! I’m Maclaine Noah, and I’m dying to know what colors compliment you. My job is to help bring joy and ease to your experience with color.
After getting my degree in Education and Fine Arts, I worked for a non-profit serving college students and creating on the marketing team.
I am always excited by design, color, and art, and I can’t wait to show you how those apply to you. My husband and I live here in Spearfish, South Dakota, and I’m ready to give the Black Hills some color.
About Color the Hills
Color the Hills began out of an appreciation of what color analysis has done for my own life, and a desire to give others that opportunity. As I continue to create in life, I feel compelled to help others learn about color theory and how it impacts their lives.
The Dakotas do not have local exposure to personal color analysis and bringing the gold standard method I believe will impact the lives of so many here.
Here in the Black Hills of South Dakota, we can see constant beauty in creation. However, sometimes we are slow to recognize it in ourselves. I promise this experience will open your eyes to so many new colors and shades you’ve never considered using before.
what is “color analysis?”
Personal color analysis is a process to discover your most harmonious colors — the colors that make you look and feel your best.
The 12-Tone TCI Method is a color analysis system based in color science, accurate interpretation of the Munsell color system and the science of natural color harmony (no guesswork, no opinions, no trends).
Utilizing a neutral backdrop, full spectrum lighting and specially calibrated drapes, I work through a range of colors to find the hue, value and chroma that perfectly compliment your natural coloring. At the end of the process, you will have a personal color palette with over 65 of your best colors and neutrals for clothing, makeup, and more.
Personal color analysis helps you achieve beautiful harmony and balance. It streamlines the process of shopping and getting dressed. And it solves the mystery of which colors work and why.
